Referral Vets

If your pet needs investigations or treatment that we cannot undertake in the surgery we may recommend referring your pet to a more specialised veterinary surgeon. We may recommend one of the following referral vets and organisations. We will arrange the referral for you.

Borders Veterinary Cardiology. Mr Craig Devine BVSc DVC MRCVS, a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Diplomate in Veterinary Cardiology, regular visits our practice to examine pets with heart disease. He can perform advanced investigations and treat pets with heart and lung disease.

Batchelor, Davidson and Watson. Mr Richard McCallum MRCVS and Kate Sands MRCVS are Veterinary Ophthalmologists. We refer pets to this Edinburgh practice which may need, for example, cataract surgery, or other specialist eye surgery or examinations.

East Neuk Veterinary Surgeons. We may refer your pet if he or she has more complex orthopaedic condition which needs specialist investigations or treatment options.These may include CT scans and advanced orthopaedic surgery for complex fractures for example. John Ferguson BVM&S CertSAO MRCVS and his colleagues provide a comprehensive service.

Broadleys Veterinary Hospital. We may recommend referring your pet to this practice in Stirling for neurological or orthopaedic conditions. Jacques Penderis BVSc MVM PhD CVR DipECVN MRCVS is a leading veterinary neurologist. Facilities include access to an MRI scanner and an excellent team.
